Enforcing Micro-USB in 2017 sounds plain stupid… I do agree that having different charger for each phone has an impact on the environment, but it would be much simpler to just include a USB cable with every phone, and let people buy a charger only if they need one.
It would seem the charger of choice would be the Micro-USB as of now, though who knows what the next big thing will be, recently we have seen the advent of wireless charging that may even become popular and cut down even more on useless wires.
